Workshops

You can follow three types of workshops at Texelsvilt.

Felt felting

One-day course with a special technique, in which the authentic coat structure is retained, you make a 'vegetarian' coat. You will feel wool on a shaved, unwashed coat, making the end product resemble a fur with tanned skin. For this felt we use water and soap. Because Texel furs do not easily felted, we use a felt machine.

Costs: € 135,- p.p. Included: all (basic) materials and a coat of about 1 square meter use of felt machine coffee, tea and soft drinks, Texel cake and lunch.

Course times are from 10.00 - 17.30.
Course days in consultation, all year round.

Maximum of 4 people per workshop.

Blanket felting

Two-day course: You make a blanket with final size ± 170 x 120 cm.
By combining carded Texel wool with very sof Merino wool and figures with it creates a beautiful decorated plaid, for home, picnic or as wall decoration.
Day 1: 10.00 - 17.30 hrs.
Day 2: 10.00 - 17.30 hrs
Cost € 275,- p.p.
Max. 2 pers.

Painting with wool

You make an image / painting of felt.
This piece, end size ± 45x45 cm, can be used later for eg a cushion cover, bag or as a wall cover.
Possible per day part : For example 9.00 - 12.30 or from 14.00 - 17.30 hrs.
Costs € 57.50
Max. 10 pers.

All prices are incl. 21% VAT, materials for the base, coffee, tea, soft drinks and a simple lunch if you work a whole day.

The price for basic materials in coat felting is based on a 'typical' Texel coat of max. 1 m².
If more or other materials are used, this can be taken into account.
